Papa:
Now back home. Enjoyed exchanging messages
from Ken and Debbie's house. How did you
like the pictures? Enjoyed picture of you
on horse. During trip, we stopped at French
Quarter in New Orleans and listened to Jazz.
Also stopped in Biloxi Mississippi where
there is gambling. Also there is Keesler
Air Force Base where there are many foriegn
students. For me, first time for such a long
drive, but I saw the States of Georgia, Alabama,
Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. Really,
the U.S. is really big country. Munchie was
very fine and happy when we returned. Again,
thank you for E-Mails while we were in Texas.「 Kiotsukete」. See You.

Received your message clearly. Still has
symbols between each word, but 「shouganai」. we can read and understand everything.
I am happy that you enjoyed the pictures.
Ken and Debby make me feel very welcome,
and their daughters also. When Edo was in
military, he flew most of the helicopters
you saw in the pictures. Therefore, everything
at Fort Rucker base was 「nastukashi」 for him. Also he was both a student and
later an instructor at Fort Rucker.
By the way, how do you like my English? The
E-mail messages help me, but Edo is also
checking my English. Enough for now, my brain
is getting worn out from「takusan」English.

I just read Akira's E-mail. He sents it to
me soon after my long message. He is doing
fine, and sometimes feels lonlieness at his
appartment espessialy snowly weekend. I understand
his feeling. Hevy snow make people depress
too much. I hope he could move back middle
or west part of Japan in some day.Living
in HOKKAIDO is too tough for him.

Papa
How are you? We leave tomorow for North Carolina
to see his mother, sister and nephew. It's
takes about 10 hours by car. So we stay one
night on the way of half the same as usual.
I'm looking foward to see them. They are
all good persons and they love me as family.
Edo's nephew is coming from Brazil with his
girl friend who does not speak English. So
that should be interesting for all of us.
In Brazil they speak Portuguese and Edo's
nephew is the only one who will be able to
speak with her. Edo can speak Spanish which
he thinks is close to Portuguese, so maybe
he will be able to communicate on a limited
basis. I bought a Japanese doll for her to
help make her feel welcome and to introduce
her to Japan in some little way. Anyway it
should be fun for us. Only problem, poor
Munchie has to stay in Pet Hotel again.
I received E-mail from Akira. Sounds like
he is becoming very religious. What do you
think? Neither Edo or I are very religious.
It seems that most Americans are religious,
especially after 11 September. Also the President
is very religious. However, I guess Edo's
experiences have made him rather negative
against all religions. I have never been
very religious. Probably we will go to church
in North Carolina. Edo goes to make his mother
happy who is also very religious. We have
gone before and I have enjoyed the experience,
especially the music and the friendliness
of the people who go. Nobody cares that I
am Asian. There are so many different kinds
of people in America, so nobody seems to
care where you came from. Everybody is very
nice to me. During your time, was it the
same? In your time in America, it was much
closer to WW2, so maybe people were not as
friendly to the Japanese as they are today.
Almost at every party we go to, we meet someone
who has been to Japan and they always talk
about how wonderful it was.
This has been a long letter, so I will say
goodbye for now.

condition and missed me this time. I was

So Papa don't worry! And after he return,

morning time. He seems very busy!
This morning I felt to take " SUSHI
" for lunch, so I went to grocely store
to get it. Recently, almost every store they
have " SUSHI Pack" .It's very convinient
for me.( about 6 or 7 doller's. Anytime I

I'm enjoying single life now. talk to later!
